In 1962 established sanatorium after the renovation has become a cozy, modern, attractive institution, supplying not only treatment, but also the accommodation, health and tourism services to Lithuanian citizens and foreign guests.
The resort has four physical medicine and rehabilitation departments, in which the treatment of patients suffering from circulatory, nervous, respiratory, digestive organs and running the motor apparatus system diseases. There are also performed balneo-hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, kinesitherapy, reflexotherapy, psychotherapeutic procedures, massages, diagnostic procedures, analysis and specialist consultations.
The southern part of the territory of the sanatorium is equipped with outdoor swimming pool with underwater massages, currents, cascades and the sun baths zones, organized sports fields, equipped with two outdoor tennis courts. It is reconstructed 70 seats sanatorium hotel villa "Vingis" ("Meander"), through which windows appears the wonderful panorama of Nemunas meander. "Eglės" sanatorium – is the deep traditions fostering the therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation center, with mineral water and therapeutic mud hospital, therapeutic and the diagnostic rooms, mineral water biuvete. This is like a separate health town, surrounded by a pine forest, located distantly from the city center. Sanatorium "Belorus", founded in 1946, has many years of experience in resort recreation area. Druskininkai Children's Rehabilitation Sanatorium "Saulutė", established in 1953, is one of the largest and most important children's treatment centers in Lithuania. At the same time it can be treated 300 children (from 1 to 18 years of age). Self unable serve and preschool-age children are taken with the nursing person.
Sanatorium treatment of children suffering neurological, arthrological – traumatological, gastroenterological, pulmonological, cardiological diseases, treatment of mental and behavioral disorders. For small patients is applied an individual or group kinesitherapy, individual massage (classic, circulate, underwater), therapeutic baths, mud applications treatment, mineral water, is actively applied electro and light therapy, hot wrapping, swimming. Playing psychotherapy helps more quickly to recover, and music therapy, sensory training and horse riding.
Since 1995 in Druskininkai children's sanatorium "Saulutė" there is a rehabilitation program for children suffering from cerebral paralysis.
